THE HEALTHY WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT FAST – 8 STEP PLAN

Usually losing weight fast is not something I would recommend because giving enough time to accomplish weight loss can give you more effective results in the long-run. However, I have lost weight quickly in a healthy way as well. And today I would like to share with you my 8 STEP PLAN about the HEALTHY WAY to LOSE WEIGHT FAST that I have done myself.

With this plan, I was able to lose 10 pounds in a month after I hit the age of 31. I was very grateful for this weight loss because after I reached 31 years of age maintaining my fitness level has been a challenge for me.

Before we jump into the 8 step plan, please be aware that you follow these steps at your own risk, so if you have any medical issues make sure you consult with your doctor beforehand. Please note that losing weight fast might involve some risk so a doctor’s advice is very important.

Let’s get started!

1.CARDIO AND STRENGTH TRAINING

Regular exercising 3-4 times a week is important if you are following a healthy way to lose weight fast. It is also crucial to combine intense cardio sessions with strength training which activates all the major muscles.

Lifting weights is especially good because research reveals that resistance training burns more calories and boosts your metabolism (1.).

If you are busy and don’t have a lot of time the best idea is to incorporate cardio and resistance training in an interval workout.

2.CUT OUT SUGAR, WHEAT AND MEAT

Three things I definitely follow that supports my quick weight-loss program is eliminating these items from your diet:

  • sugar
  • wheat
  • meat

It might be surprising to you that I did not eat meat during the month when I lost 10 pounds.

Let’s dive into this …

First of all, decreasing the intake of sugar and refined carb-level is an important step for losing weight and belly fat, especially after you hit the age of 30. But why am I talking about eliminating meat as well?

Studies have shown that a higher intake of refined carbs, sweets, and meat can lead to gaining weight (2.)

Wheat is a grain and the main ingredient of such foods as bread, pastries, pasta, cereals, and most flours, though not almond flour, oat flour, and brown rice flour. (3.).

Going wheat-free probably played the biggest part in my weight-loss a few years ago. What do researchers think about wheat in terms of weight-loss?

Have you ever heard of the Wheat Belly Diet?

The Wheat Belly Diet was created by a cardiologist based on the idea that wheat is actually more responsible for gaining weight and belly fat than sugar.

The Wheat Belly Diet suggests that if you cut out wheat from your diet, you immediately start to consume 400 kcal less, which is a significant difference (4.).

3.INCREASE PROTEIN INTAKE

Since we cut out a lot of harmful ingredients the question might arise:

WHAT ACTUALLY SHOULD YOU EAT?

Increasing protein intake is a step you should follow to lose weight and belly fat over the age of 30. Increasing protein intake supports the idea of losing weight fast too because according to a study a high-protein diet led to 441 less consumed calories (5.).

But how you can increase protein intake if you decrease meat consumption as well? Luckily there are great sources of protein other than meat: whole eggs, salmon and tuna (2 times a week each), beans, legumes, chickpeas, and lentils.

Lentils, beans, and chickpeas should be eaten on an everyday basis because they are great sources of protein, and are also high in dietary fiber which is a very important element of a healthy meal and weight-loss.

One more note here! If you eat lean meat such as chicken or turkey once a week you still should be able to lose weight fast.

4. SINGLE INGREDIENT FOOD

Single-ingredient food is often called REAL FOOD! It is mostly unprocessed which means that it does not contain chemicals, however, it does contain important nutrients.

We already mentioned that processed food doesn’t help you if you want a healthy way to lose weight fast. The best way to avoid it is to not eat fast food in restaurants.

Based on my experience where I lost 10 pounds after I hit age 31, I did not eat out at restaurants at all. I mostly consumed SINGLE INGREDIENT FOODS, such as:

  • nuts with some berries or banana and dates
  • self-made salad from raw cauliflower, avocado, beans, or lentils

Actually, it is also a great idea to EAT RAW VEGETABLES because you then benefit from all the enzymes, vitamins, and minerals that the food has to offer (6.).

5. GET ACTIVE

Following these tips would have been really difficult for me if I did not have a physically active lifestyle and career.

What I mean by that is that I gave fitness classes in a hotel, since I was their fitness instructor. However, if I did have a more sedentary lifestyle like an office job I probably would have lost less than 10 pounds.

So what I am saying is that it is better to have a physically active working routine and lifestyle if you can.

You are trying to follow a healthy way to lose weight fast, right? So then you can’t really miss being physically active as well besides watching your diet..

BUT…What happens if you are not a fitness instructor, which is more likely the case?

Don’t worry because you still have a lot of great options:

  • If you are working in an office, make sure that you take a 5-10 minute walking break each hour.
  • Walk instead of using vehicles (park further from your office, or get off the bus one stop earlier).
  • If you are a new mom walk outdoors with your kids more regularly – one hour a day is the best.
  • Take a walk in the evening with your partner.
  • Do the 5 primary exercises to maintain body functionality in the long run.

There is another good reason why being active is important. That way you can focus on other things, time will pass faster and you can ease into this new active lifestyle.

6. WATCH WHAT YOU DRINK

For every weight-loss program, you have to drink enough, especially if you have a more active lifestyle.

However, be sure you are drinking purified water. Try to cut out sugary drinks, such as sweet beverages, sodas, energy drinks, and alcoholic beverages.

The best way to drink enough water is to use a 500 ml plastic bottle instead of a glass and after you drink it fill it up again. Make sure you are aware of how much water you should drink on a daily basis.

Bear in mind there are other detox drinks which are not only great for weight-loss but they taste really good. It is important to be aware of these other healthy drinks that taste good and will make your drinking routine more interesting.

7. INTERMITTENT FASTING

Intermittent fasting can be helpful to lose belly fat and weight faster.

I fasted for 14 hours each day when I lost those 10 pounds. My last meal was at 7:30 pm and the next time I consumed anything was not before 9:30 am, which usually consisted of a few nuts and a banana.

Studies reveal that intermittent fasting proves to be effective with a 7-11 pound weight loss in 10 weeks (7.).

The reason why I think I lost those 10 pounds in a shorter period of time is that I incorporated all the steps that are being discussed in this post.

8. GO TO SLEEP BEFORE 11 PM

In order to accomplish your goal of intermittent fasting, weight-loss, and being healthy it is essential to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep every night.

Getting enough sleep is especially important if you want to lose weight fast.

When I lost those 10 pounds in a month I was usually asleep by 10:30 pm and I woke up at 7 am the following day. Recently, I haven’t gone to sleep as early and I have to work hard to stay fit.

Sleeping has an effect on your weight-loss because without enough sleep you might not make the healthy food choices you would if you were sufficiently rested (8.).

However, in order to have a healthy sleep and achieve a faster weight loss, it is very important to follow the previous steps as well, because poor food choices can lead to poor sleep.

So this is my healthy 8 step plan about the healthy way to lose weight fast and which also helped me lose 10 pounds in a month.
