Christmas Fitness Challenge (12 days)- Holiday Fitness

You might be thinking you are completely late to get fit for the holidays. Well if that is the case, you should not worry anymore, because this 12 day Christmas Fitness Challenge will definitely help you lose 5 pounds by the holidays. Please note that all the new routines you accomplish on a certain day should be applied automatically on the following days.

So for example, if day 5 says you should not eat fast food then this rule is applicable every day starting with day 5.

So let’s get started!

DAY 1 – CUT BACK SUGAR AND WHEAT

The the most important steps to pursue this Christmas Fitness Challenge is the following:

  • Don’t consume foods that have a higher sugar level than 5%
  • Only use wheat-free flour for baking, such as brown rice flour, or oat flour
  • Eat wheat-free bread

DAY 2 – DRINK ENOUGH WATER

Read this post to get to know how much water you should drink.

If you don’t want to fuss with any calculation just make sure you drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. If you want to know how to drink water the right way click here!

DAY 3 – DOING HIIT WORKOUT

Starting on day 3 do this HIIT workout on an every third day basis for fast weight loss.

DAY 4 – HEALTHY MORNING ROUTINES

In order to stay energized and fit you need to start your day the right way:

  • drink one glass of water with apple vinegar
  • exercise in the morning
  • meditate after exercising

DAY 5 – EXERCISE IN THE MORNING

Since it is a fitness challenge I would like to emphasize the importance of doing exercise in the morning. Pilates is a great workout to do before 9 am.

DAY 6 – TRACKING YOUR CALORIES

In order to lose weight fast, you definitely have to make sure that your calorie intake is a considerable amount less than your normal calorie intake. I would say cutting your daily calories by 500 is a great way to go for weight loss.

However, if you want to learn more about how many calories YOU should eat to lose 5 pounds during this challenge then click here.

DAY 7 – START INTERMITTENT FASTING

An amazing way to significantly cut your calorie intake is to get into intermittent fasting 16:8. This is what I did when I lost 10 pounds within a month.

This means I only eat between 11 am and 9 pm. If you are struggling to figure out how you can easily implement this routine then stay with me for the next 2 challenges.

DAY 8- BRUNCH INSTEAD OF BREAKFAST AND LUNCH

To easily implement intermittent fasting try only eating a healthy brunch at 11 am instead of having an early breakfast and lunch between noon and 1 pm.

With this habit, you could easily save 500 calories, which is exactly what you want to save to lose weight fast. To implement this habit effectively you must eat a healthy brunch with the right ingredients.

DAY 9 – EARLY DINNER

The other very important habit that will help you to cut your calories is to have an early dinner before 7 pm, preferably at 6 pm. If you want to read about how you should prepare this dinner to get the most out of it, read my 3 dinner strategies for fast weight loss after the age of 30.

DAY 10 – ADD THIS PLANK CHALLENGE

If I am counting right you are not doing the HIIT workout today, since you did that yesterday. So you have the energy to do this plank challenge today.

This is how it will look:

  • DAY 1030 seconds plank at 4 pm
  • DAY 1145 seconds plank at 4 pm
  • DAY 1245 seconds plank after your HIIT workout

DAY 11 -YOGA IN THE EVENING

The best time for me to do yoga or flexibility exercises has proved to be in the evening. So this evening make sure you do this yoga workout and then stretching afterward, 2 hours before going to sleep.

DAY 12 – MERRY CHRISTMAS

If you made it to DAY 12 then I am very proud of you. Hopefully, by now you have managed to lose a few pounds by following all the challenges.
