2020 might be different in terms of social distancing, but that does not mean that the usual pleasure sources such as delicious Christmas snacks can’t be made and you can’t enjoy them with your close family. In this post today I would like to give you an idea about 5 Healthy Christmas Treats that you can make at home. I am talking about making the healthier version of delicious and easy Christmas snacks. All of these recipes are on the famous food hacker Todd Wilbur’s website. Todd Wilbur’s main purpose is to deconstruct America’s most iconic brand-name recipes for easy use at home.

1) CLIFF AND BUSTER COCONUT MACAROONS
This is definitely an Easy Christmas Snack and very delicious if you love the taste of coconut.
These treats by Cliff Barsevich were also praised by Oprah Winfrey on her show. If you want to see the recipe, click here.
For a healthy version, you can use xylitol instead of sugar which is a keto-friendly and natural sweetener. And to stay keto-friendly you can also use egg white and oat or brown rice flour to make these snacks.
So, hopefully, see you soon MACAROON! 🙂
2) GIRL SCOUT SHORTBREAD COOKIES
Although I have only been living in the United States for a few years I have already had the pleasure to taste them and I fell in love with them. What is not part of the pleasure is that the girl scout shortbread cookies only sell in the spring.
Why wait if you can unlock the recipe if you click here.
Since I am trying to share Healthy Christmas Treats it is important to discuss how you can make these cookies body shape friendlier 🙂 And what I definitely have to emphasize here is the following again:
- Instead of sugar, use Xylitol or Stevia
- Instead of white flour, oat flour could be a great option here.
3) MAGGIANO’S VERA’S LEMON COOKIES
This little treat originally comes from the “Maggiano’s Little Italy” restaurant chain. These chewy, soft, and delicious cookies have a bright lemon taste and they are a great fit on a Christmas table after a nice Christmas dinner or lunch with the family.

To stay shape-friendly avoid sugar and white flour and try to use oat flour and Xylitol instead. I do believe if you only use egg whites these cookies could be just as good.
4) MRS. FIELDS CRANBERRY WHITE CHOCOLATE COOKIES
My next idea regarding Healthy Christmas Treats is based on the recipe of these white chocolate cookies which you can check out here.
As the name of the Christmas snack suggests this treat is made of cranberries, white chocolate, and walnuts which are also added. So the only ingredient which is not exactly shape-friendly in this case is the WHITE CHOCOLATE.
However, my idea here is that instead of using ¾ cup of white chocolate chunks you can only use the chunks of one bar of white chocolate which is between 400 and 500 calories for the whole thing. That is not so bad for at least 4-5 people.
And here you can also replace sugar and white flour with Xylitol and oat flour or brown rice flour.
5) PEPPERIDGE FARM GINGER MAN COOKIES
My last idea today for your Healthy Christmas Treats in 2020 will be based on the recipe of these ginger man cookies. They also look exactly like a Christmas snack.
To have an idea about how to make it at home, click here!
The recipe suggests using brown sugar which is definitely a healthy version of white sugar. However, brown sugar is also rich in calories so if you want to be careful with your shape I have to recommend using Xylitol, or even honey in this case.
Furthermore replacing white flour with oat flour is still an option if you want to stay keto or shape friendly.
So this is the summary of the 5 HEALTHY CHRISTMAS TREATS that are based on a recipe of delicious world-famous Christmas snacks.
